WABAG bags Rs 100 crore order in Philippines

VA Tech WABAG a reputed Indian MNC in water and wastewater treatment has successfully bagged an order worth Rs 100 crore from Maynilad Water Services, Philippines.

navi mumbai, Maharashtra, November 25, 2014 /India PRwire/ -- VA Tech WABAG a reputed Indian MNC in water and wastewater treatment has successfully bagged an order worth Rs 100 crore from Maynilad Water Services, Philippines. The order is for construction of a 20 MLD Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) at Tunasan.

The World Bank is funding the project. WABAG is required to design and build the plant. As per the contract, the company will also operate and maintain the plant for a period of one year.

STP is unique as it is constructed to handle wastewater flowing into the Laguna Lake which is one of the biggest alternative drinking water sources of the Philippines.

Currently, the company is executing two large projects at Illugin and Putatan.

It has already executed three projects in this country at Bagbag, Tatalon and Dona Imelda. WABAG has completed over 900 water and wastewater plants worldwide.

It has a workforce of over 1,500, and companies along with offices in more than 20 countries.
