This superstar could be you; and soon enough as Proto.in a support platform for tomorrow's Entrepreneurs and wealth creators visits IIT Mumbai on 30th Jan 2010. And they've spawned some superstars too.
Heres a look at some of protos protégées.
While we re subjected to mammoth energy sapping events around global warming; a Proto.in supported start-up Nualgi treats sewage,polluted and effluent waters and converts them to pure water. Or for instance while the world laments lack of employment opportunities in rural India; along comes the very innovative DesiCrew Solutions Pvt. Ltd, a rural BPO company, that sets up IT enabled service centers in rural areas, employs and trains local people to meet the back office demands of clients! Whew!
While start-ups struggle to get access to Media attention, Capital, Markets, Experience, Talent and the right kind of Mentorship, Proto.in has made this edition on 30th Jan 2010 more meaningful, by associating with an exclusive partner Sequoia Capital. Sequoia Capital has been one of the most active early and growth stage funding firms in India in the last several years, and looks to partner with entrepreneurs from the seed through growth stages. Sequoia Capital team members / volunteers will engage themselves in one-on-one feedback and mentoring sessions with up to 30 companies at the upcoming Proto.in event.
The agenda for the day includes keynote conversations with Pradeep Gupta of Cybermedia and Sanjeev Bikchandani of Naukri.com. This will be followed by the Proto.in showcase; a set of 15 new innovations from the business domains of internet, mobile, automotive, software and more! Pirates of the Silicon Valley; a movie no tech start-up can afford to miss follows suit; as sessions continue into the evening on how to handle VCs and a session by Angel Investment Network. While all companies that will be showcased will get the opportunity to participate in individual mentoring sessions, the Proto.in team will additionally nominate other entrepreneurs as well.
