-- Serena Software, a global leader in Application Lifecycle Management announced the appointment of Sangeetha Phalgunan as Managing Director for India. She will be responsible for driving growth, channels and the expansion of the company's market share in India. Her extensive knowledge and experience in the IT industry will provide a new direction to the company in India and meet the Indian customers' rise in demand for Business Process management solutions and end-to-end application lifecycle management (ALM) solutions.
Commenting on the appointment, Mr. Eric Driffort - Vice President - WEMEA/India/Korea/China , Serena Software, said, "As part of an aggressive Indian growth strategy, Sangeetha's appointment will further strengthen Serena's management team. Her strategic business approach will help in setting up a strong foothold across sectors in both the large and mid markets in India."

Before joining Serena, Sangeetha was Head Commercial and Channel Business for HP Software India, where she was instrumental in establishing HP Software's Commercial Business and partner eco system. Prior to that, she was Director of Channel Sales and Corporate Sales Division for Mercury Interactive Corporation India and also held managerial positions in BEA Systems India.
She holds a degree in Science and Mathematics from Mysore University with an additional Diploma's in Sales and Marketing.
