CMDA's 11th IT Expo from December 4 to 7
Computers & Media Dealers Association, Pune (CMDA) a 18 year old Association of IT hardware and Media professionals will organize the 11th IT Expo in the city from December 4th to December 7th at the Engineering college grounds .

Speaking to reporters Mr. Shital Nahar, President, CMDA said the exhibition will help people to see, touch, feel and compare different brands under the same roof apart from being able to witness latest technology and happenings in IT Hardware sector.
Visitors will also get huge discounts and great bargain offers in this exhibition.
They can also see all the lifestyle gadgets in this exhibition, he added.
This year’s theme will be IT for all” means use of Information Technology to make people’s lives easier said Mr. Yogesh Godbole Convener of the Exhibition.
Top IT brands Cisco, Microsoft, IBM, Lenovo, AOC, DSK Digital, Netgear, Altec Lancing, XFS, HP, and around 100 System Integrators (Dealers) have confirmed their participation in this Expo, Pune Police Cyber crime Branch will also have a stall at the exhibition, he added.
Mr. Nahar added that this year the main Attraction of the IT Expo will be the CIO Conference where over 200 Chief Information Technology Officers of various Industries will deliberate on latest technology and use of Technology in current scenario.
One of the main reasons of this CIO Conference is to attract the attention of corporate world to this IT Expo and to make this exhibition B2B than just mere B2 C Exhibition, he added.
We have also planned total 8 seminars in 4 days. With a view to educate the common man we are conducting seminars on Hacking, Cyber crime and new virus threats. These seminars will be very useful to everybody as Crimes related to Internet are increasing day by day. We are also planning one special seminar for senior citizens.
Mr. Nahar also added that the CMDA which was formed with the main objective of developing culture of Ethical trade practices in Pune had grown in strength with 350+ members and the probably the only IT dealers association in India with a ISO 9001:2000 Certificate
In the previous years CMDA has also helped software Industry by reducing VAT on Paper licenses from 12.5% to 4% by giving representation to Government of Maharashtra.
CMDA also made several representations to PMC and forced them to bring Octroi on computers to 3%. All local newspapers helped CMDA in this activity and raised CMDA’s voice in their papers very strongly.
Mr. Nahar also added that CMDA also does charity to different Schools. Last year CMDA donated PC, Printer and UPS to Pune Blind Men’s Association. Along with this CMDA also donated Rs. 1.5Lakhs to Jagruti School for Blind for their Computer Laboratory.
