DesignTech Systems Ltd ties up with Autocluster Development and Research Institute to offer cost effective solutions
Tweet-- DesignTech Systems Ltd, leading CAD/CAM/CAE and Product Lifecycle Management solution provider in India, has announced a tie up with country’s first Autocluster Development and Research Institute. The two leading establishments will provide cost effective simulation softwares and services to auto component manufacturers so as to reduce operational costs along with development duration up to 50 per cent.
Mr. Vikas Khanvelkar, Managing Director, DesignTech Systems Ltd said "With the latest development in manufacturing simulation technology, our vendors will be able to function in single or two stages instead of a longer trial and error method before finalising any design. Cost effectiveness and reduced cycle time have become important factors for the manufactures. DesignTech solutions can bring down cost and time savings up to 50 per cent and enable single stage design." At a time when the economy is going through a lull, SMEs are looking at are solutions that enable cost cutting, but at the same time, help attaining optimisation.
Autocluster Development and Research Institute, set up by the Government of India in Pune, with this tie-up, has taken a crucial step in the small and medium enterprise segment.
Mr.V.M. Rao, Managing Director, Autocluster Development and Research Institute said “SMEs will die a natural death if they don't come up to the global standards. With the support of the government, this initiative will make available the softwares that DesignTech has and we will leverage this technology to the end users,"
With emerging technologies like rapid prototyping and 3-dimention live experience, product designs can be conceptualised digitally and their life cycle can be simulated with the help of the softwares.
Mr. Sanjay Daga, Vice-President, Operations, DesignTech Systems Ltd. said "This helps our vendors or manufacturing units improve on quality while they save on production cost. Also, it ensures that quality components are taken care of right at the beginning."
Established under Industrial Infrastructure Up gradation Scheme (IIUS) of the Government of India, Autocluster is the first of its kind set-up. It targets services and transfer of technology to manufacturing industries in the region and also sets standard benchmarks with regards to new products, quality and component testing
