TestersDesk.com, the online tooling platform for software testers has bagged the ‘Best Innovation of the Year’ award. Among many other nominations, the panel of judges has selected TestersDesk.com for its uniqueness and the value it provides to Software Test Engineers. The uniqueness and the value that TestersDesk.com provides to software test engineers ensured that TestersDesk.com bagged the honour by a jury consisted of a panel of members from Ernst & Young, NASSCOMM, STPI, etc.

NASSCOM’s President Mr. Som Mittal gave away the prestigious award to Mr. Ashwin Palaparthi, Founder and CEO, ValueMinds - the company that built TestersDesk.com at the just concluded Hyderabad Software Exporters Association’s (HYSEA) 16th Annual Awards function in Hyderabad. Bagging such a prestigious award within such a short time of its launch is a testimony to the innovation and value TestersDesk.com provides. This platform does not compete with any existing testing tools and serves as an online tooling companion that increases test productivity.

Talking more about the platform, Ashwin says “Testing is a mandatory function in any product development lifecycle. Ironically, technology is not used at its best in solving some of the problems in testing. Regardless of all the process-oriented tools and automated test execution tools, there are still a lot of design and analysis activities that testers have to do, and a majority them can take advantage of our online tools, without a doubt. We are not a magical alternative but an engineering productivity enhancer for Software Testers, without any hassles of usage given that we are fully online. We have implemented about 20% of the feature-set identified and plan monthly increments for the next one year to complete the rest.”

The award, instituted by Hyderabad Software Exporters Association (HYSEA), is aimed to recognise the contribution of IT and ITeS companies in areas like quality, information security, product innovation, export turnover, social service, etc.
