Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC) today announced that it has made it to the 2008 Global Services 100 list and cited as a winner in the Human Capital Development category. The ranking noted CSC’s “immense focus on human-capital development” and the fact that it is driven not just by volumes, but addition of strong industry and domain knowledge.

First Consulting Group (FCG), which CSC acquired to enhance its healthcare capabilities, offerings and geographical presence, also made it to the 2008 Global Services 100 list.

The Global Services 100 list is drawn annually by Global Services – a media house – in association with neoIT – a management consulting firm. The list identifies and evaluates leading service providers. The evaluation is based on data provided by the service providers and third parties regarding effective operations, service offerings, client relationships and human capital. Winners are selected in each of the 10 categories including service-delivery areas such as IT services, customer care and business process outsourcing.

Now in its fourth year, the survey included participation from 17 countries, with delivery centers across 31 countries covering a range of services across IT and BPO, including IT application services, infrastructure, FAO, HRO and contact centers.

This is the first time CSC participated in the Global Services 100 list. FCG had participated last year as well and had made it to the top 100 list. CSC will be presented the category winner award at the 2008 Global Services Conference to be held on March 12th, 2008 at Marriott Marquis, Times Square, New York, U.S.A.
