Anantara Solutions receives Carnegie Mellon Authorization to provide eSCM-SP and eSCM-CL evaluation services

G.B.Prabhat, Founder and CEO of Anantara Solutions, said, "eSCM services will form a vital part of our Sourcing Strategy and Implementation practice.

New Delhi, Delhi, October 3, 2007 /India PRwire/ -- Carnegie Mellon University's Information Technology Services Qualification Center (ITSqc) has authorized Anantara Solutions Private Limited (Anantara) to evaluate organizations that are adopting the University's eSourcing Capability Model for Service Providers (eSCM-SP) and eSourcing Capability Model for Clients (eSCM-CL). Anantara Solutions is joining a select group of Authorized Organizations that Carnegie Mellon is training to ensure that there are highly qualified professional teams conducting evaluations that lead to the certification of service providers and clients.

Carnegie Mellon established the ITSqc to create “best practices” capability models and qualification methods to improve sourcing relationships for global IT-enabled sourcing transactions. Leading international corporate, government, and academic entities have joined ITSqc researchers in the development of these models. The models are being adopted by service providers to assess and improve their current capabilities. Client organizations also are using the eSCM-CL to understand the capabilities of prospective and current service providers and to improve the capability of client organizations to manage their relationships with service providers. The Service Provider Model has already been adopted by industry leaders across the globe. For a full list of eSCM certified organizations see the ITSqc website:

G.B.Prabhat, Founder and CEO of Anantara Solutions, said, "eSCM services will form a vital part of our Sourcing Strategy and Implementation practice. This consulting practice, consistent with our vision for Second Generation Outsourcing (SGO), advises our clients on sound outsourcing practices and helps them realize the business value of such practices by participating in implementation. We are currently servicing customers in 8 countries using the SGO model. ITSqc’s eSCM program focuses on the entire sourcing lifecycle that certifies the capability of service providers, as well as clients, who wish to measure and improve their sourcing effectiveness. We consider it a privilege to be working with Carnegie Mellon University.”

"We are delighted to be working with Anantara,” said Dr. Jane Siegel, Director of Carnegie Mellon’s ITSqc. “Their highly qualified professionals and extensive experience both in the eSCMs and global IT-enabled sourcing should lead them to work very productively with organizations adopting the models.”
