Leading non-voice third-party BPO service provider Datamatics Technologies Limited (DTL) (BSE: 532528, NSE: “DATATECH”) is moving to leverage synergies of Datamatics Limited, an associate company engaged in IT services.

The Board of Directors of DTL, at a meeting held in Mumbai on 26 May 2007, has in principal approved to amalgamate the two companies. The Board-appointed advisors will present the amalgamation scheme in the next Board meeting. The amalgamation would be subject to shareholder and regulatory approvals.

According to Rahul Kanodia, Vice Chairman and CEO, Datamatics Technologies Ltd, leveraging Group synergies was aimed at creating broader management bandwidth. “We would be leveraging each others’ core strengths and position the company as a one-stop-shop for end-to-end solutions spanning consulting, technology architectures and business process management, including both IT and ITeS services.”

“The amalgamation will give us a stronger go-to-market strategy and will also facilitate our entry into new markets with platform-based Knowledge Process Outsourcing solutions,” added Kanodia.
