Trimentus Technologies, SEI Partner and a leading process improvement consulting, training and appraisal service provider, has signed up with Hewlett Packard (HP), China to study and improve HP's HR and people based processes.

The consulting, training and assessments are based on the People Capability Maturity Model, developed by the SEI (Software Engineering Institute), Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, USA. SEI has been serving for the last 2 decades, as a federally funded research and development center and is well known for its highly rated programs in computer science and engineering. The SEI's core purpose is to help organizations to improve their software engineering capabilities and develop right software, defect free, within budget and on time, every time.

The PCMM model, developed by the SEI, provides guidance on how to improve the ability of software organizations to attract, develop, motivate, organize and retain the talent needed to steadily improve their software development capability by aligning individual aspirations with organizational business goals.

Trimentus and HP, Global Delivery China Center (GDCC), have earlier worked together successfully in providing consulting, training and appraisal services for the software development and maintenance processes. Trimentus had assisted HP's ISO 9001:2000 certification and conducted their CMMI Maturity Level 5 certification.
