Eisai to organize Dementia awareness program
Eisai is organizing the awareness program in association with Alzheimer's disease and Related Disorders Society of India (ARDSI). The program includes understanding of Alzheimer's and screening for patients suspected to be suffering from dementia.
Tweet-- To create mass awareness about loss of cognitive ability through various forms of dementia, Eisai Pharmatechnology and Manufacturing (EPM) Pvt Ltd and Eisai Pharmaceuticals India Pvt Ltd are organizing a Dementia awareness program at Hotel Taj Krishna on Saturday, July 17, 2010.
Eisai is organizing the awareness program in association with Alzheimer's disease and Related Disorders Society of India (ARDSI). The program includes understanding of Alzheimer's and screening for patients suspected to be suffering from dementia.
Several participants, key speakers, prominent delegates, senior citizens along with care givers and volunteers are expected to attend the program. The state government is also extending its support to the event to highlight the government's role in combating common forms of dementia like Alzheimer's disease. The Principal Secretary, Health, Medical and Family Welfare Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh, J. Satyanaryana is expected to take part in the event.
"Eisai's role would be to interact with the patients' families to understand how Eisai can help them uplift their lifestyle in line with our corporate mission. Giving first thought to patients and their families and to increase the benefits that healthcare provides is our motto and that is what we intend to do with such awareness programs," said Mr. Sanjit Singh Lamba, Managing Director, and Head - Global Procurement Strategy, EPM.
Dr. Suvarna Alladi Associate Professor, Neurology, Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences, Dr. K. Chandrasekhar, Senior Psychiatrist and vice-president of Hyderabad Deccan chapter ARDSI and Rukhsana Ansari, founding member of ARDSI Hyderabad Deccan will oversee the awareness program and workshop for caregivers.
