Wockhardt Foundation awarded 'Pharma CSR Organization of the Year 2010'
Wockhardt Foundation wins the CSR award under the leadership of Huzaifa Khorakiwala who through his Human Values has created a team of dedicated warriors to work towards the upliftment of the poor weak and needy.

-- Wockhardt Foundation has been conferred with the prestigious Pharma CSR Organization of the Year Award, at 'The Pharmaceutical Leadership Summit 2010' held recently. Wockhardt Foundation won the awards with the maximum numbers of votes (13,666).
'The Pharmaceutical Leadership Summit 2010' under the theme 'Limitless Leadership - Bringing Today, Tomorrow and Beyond', was presented by Pharmaleaders and Indo-American Chamber of Commerce. The two day summit was organized with a view to bring together leaders from the industry and crystallize their views and thoughts and assist the industry to find solutions and strategies to help the Indian pharma industry face challenges capably and seize opportunities. The who's who of pharma industry including Huzaifa Khorakiwala CEO, Wockhardt Foundation and a host of other big wigs debated on some of the crucial topics confronted by the industry. More than 400 industry professionals, Pharma Academia, bureaucrats, medical practitioners attended this high profile event.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Huzaifa Khorakiwala, CEO, Wockhardt Foundation, said, "The need & necessity for CSR has become a quasi - moral obligation for corporates in recent times. Mr. Salman Khurshid, Hon'ble Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Corporate Affairs & Minority Affairs has placed a great emphasis on CSR & is working on ways to make it mandatory. Just as 'receiving' is one side of the coin, 'giving' becomes the other side. Only a compassionate & altruistic approach to all the stakeholders - customers, suppliers, investors, employees, & society can lead to a more 'responsible' corporate sector."
He further added that, "We are delighted to have received this award, however we have a long way to go & our journey has just started".
