The Chennai Pediatric Electrophysiology Symposium (TCPES 2010)

Dr. K. M. Cherian's Frontier Lifeline Hospital, Chennai, organized the second edition of The Chennai Pediatric Electrophysiology Symposium (TCPES 2010). TCPES 2010 was held from 8th to 10th January 2010.

Chennai, Tamil Nadu, January 22, 2010 /India PRwire/ -- The symposium was inaugurated by Prof. S. Thanikachalam, Director and Chairman, Sri Ramachandra Cardiac Care Cente (SRMC).

Famous Pediatric Anesthetist, Pediatric intensivist, Electro-physiologist and Neonatologist across the world took part in the two day symposium to discuss on the issues of Management of Arrhythmias in Children, infants and neonates. Some of the important topics that were discussed and debated in the symposium are Developmental Electrophysiology for the pediatrician and Electrophysiologist, Management of Fetal arrhythmias and diagnosis from the Womb to the NICU, Inidications for pacing, ICD therapies in children and patients with CHD, Genes and cell therapy for arrhythmias, CRT in children and CHD patients, Catheter ablation in children, Arrhythmias in children - clinical features and risk stratification.

Giving the due importance to the academics the symposium was attended by distinguished international faculty from all over the country and world. To name a few of them, Dr. Balaji Seshadri, University of Oregon, Portland, USA, Dr. Maully Shah, University of Philadelphia, USA, Dr. Anwer Dhala, University of Wisconsin, USA, Dr. Rajnish Juneja and Dr. Joy Thomas, Consultant Cardiologist & Chief Electrophysiologist, from Frontier Lifeline hospital is the course director.
