Astaberry - Cosmetics Company India revenue crosses Rs. 160 million in 2009
Astaberry a cosmetics manufacturing company got net growth of 240% over last year. Astaberry beats the recession and achieve revenue grew from approx Rs. 6.5 Cr to Rs. 16 Cr.
Tweet-- Astaberry Biosciences beats recession with a robust growth of 240% over last year. The revenue in the year grew from approx Rs. 6.5 Cr to Rs. 16 Cr as per the audited balance sheet of year ended 2009.
According to company spokesman this huge jump is majorly due to four reasons. Firstly, a highly growing Indian cosmetics market. The Indian cosmetics market is growing at more than 20 to 25% year on year. Astaberry has just tried to capture a small pie of that.
Secondly, Astaberry expanded its market coverage. The company launched its products in southern & eastern India. Many new states were added like Tamin Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Bihar & Jharkand. The products have picked up well in these states. Existing regions were also streamlined and overall sales picked up. Today the company can boast of an extensive marketing network comprising of super stockists, distributors & retailers and a motivated sales team.
Thirdly, many new skin care products like Neem Face Wash were introduced in the market making the existing product mix stronger. These new products gained market and added to the revenues.
The current year’s forecast is very optimistic. The company is targeting to reach sales of over Rs. 300 million. The company is also planning to get increase exports and is planning to set up offices in China & Dubai.
