Oxymed hospital for the first time in chennai introduces Emitron a non-surgical treatment for joint pains

Chennai, Tamil Nadu, February 23, 2009 /India PRwire/ -- Joint Pain? Arthritis Think Emitron

What causes pain in joints?

Between our bones are cushions of cartilage, which prevent grinding of the bones. When the layers of cartilage wear out, the bones begin to grind against each other, causing extreme pain. Under normal circumstances, the body replaces cartilage under control of tiny electrical signals. These electrical signals are created inside our body. Due to diseases - e.g. osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, aginng or injury the normal replacement of cartilage is disturbed, causing pain and inflammation.

What causes osteoarthritis?

Normal and Arthritic Joints

Primary osteoarthritis is mostly related to aging.
Joints over the years irritate and inflames the cartilage causing the cartilage to degenerate.
In advance case, there is a total loss of the cartilage cushion between bones of the joints leading to pain and limitation of joint mobility.

How does Pulsed Electromagnetic field reduce pain in joints?

When connective tissue is injured and physiological signalling is disturbed or lost. Pulsed signal Technology, as external, biophysical signal (stimulus) of physiological energy parameters and waveform, passively induces 'fluid flow' in the injured area, creating 'streaming potentials' that induce biophysical-biochemical coupling, subsequent signal transduction, to activate repair and regenerative processes. In doing so, it restores the innate, physiological signalling to enable these regenerative and repair processes to continue naturally.
