Laphroaig to host its DISTILLERY LIVE
Third Annual Global Online Whisky Tasting Session
Tweet-- Laphroaig Single Malt Islay Scotch, the most richly flavoured Scotch whiskies from Beam Global Spirits & Wine, the fourth largest spirits company in world, is hosting its third annual global online whisky tasting session – Distillery Live 2009. The fascinating online whisky tasting session will be broadcast live from the Maker’s Mark Distillery in Kentucky to celebrate the quality and heritage of Laphroaig and Maker’s Mark and to highlight the intrinsic link between them. Laphroaig is matured in former Maker’s Mark barrels.
Maker’s Mark Master Blender Kevin Smith, Laphroaig Distillery Manager John Campbell and renowned single malt authority and Editor of Malt Advocate Magazine John Hansell will share their impressions and ratings of Laphroaig 10 Year Old, Laphroaig 18 Year Old, Laphroaig 25 Year Old - Cask Strength 2008 Edition and Maker’s Mark Bourbon. The online webcast would give the scotch enthusiasts an opportunity to interact LIVE with experts from Laphroaig and Maker’s Mark.
Laphroaig held the world’s first ever live online whisky tasting in 2007 – live from London - garnering one of the highest online tasting broadcast audiences ever. This was followed up by last year’s live broadcast direct from Laphroaig’s home on the Scottish island of Islay, attracting an even larger audience of over 20,000.
