Dabur Gulabari Announces Search For Fresh Face Of U.P.

Beauty Pageant winner to bag a 1-year contract with Dabur Gulabari; Model Hunt to be organized in over 50 colleges of UP covering 7 cities

New Delhi, Delhi, August 4, 2008 /India PRwire/ -- Dabur India Limited, India’s leading natural healthcare company, has announced a mega model hunt in Uttar Pradesh. Christened ‘Dabur Gulabari Miss Fresh Face of UP 2008’, this beauty pageant is being held to identify the fresh new face of Uttar Pradesh that embodies the values of Dabur Gulabari, which are soft, fresh and rose-like glowing skin. The winner of the contest will bag a one-year modeling contract with Dabur Gulabari.

“Dabur Gulabari has always been associated with beauty and is the only personal care brand in India offering the goodness of rose for soft and fresh skin. We are now taking Dabur Gulabari’s association with beauty a step further with this college beauty pageant that will also seek to empower the young girls of Uttar Pradesh by offering them a chance to come into the world of mainstream modeling,” said Ms Disha Asher, Manager, Dabur India Ltd.

This initiative is also a unique way of spreading awareness among the beauty conscious women of Uttar Pradesh, especially the young college-going girls. The entire campaign would be conducted in seven cities across Uttar Pradesh. The semi-final rounds for Dabur Gulabari Miss Fresh Face of UP 2008 pageant would be conducted in Lucknow, Kanpur, Ghaziabad, Agra, Varanasi & Gorakhpur, and 15 finalists would be selected to compete for the Dabur Gulabari Miss Fresh Face of U.P. title at the Grand Finale to be held in Lucknow on August 24, 2008. The winner, Ms. Phakey said, will sign a one-year modelling contract with Dabur India and would also get a chance to be featured on the cover page of a leading women’s magazine.

Offering the promise of ‘fresh, soft and rose-like glowing skin’, the Dabur Gulabari skincare range helps maintain moisture balance without leaving it oily. Besides protecting the skin from damaging elements of today’s environment and keeping it soft, the natural rose extracts in the product also help remove dryness and dullness, giving the skin a rose-like radiance. No other brand today owns the Rose proposition, offering Dabur Gulabari the first mover advantage in this segment.

Dabur has introduced a range of skin care products under the Gulabari brand, all offering the natural goodness of rose extracts. The Dabur Gulabari portfolio now includes Dabur Gulabari rose water, Moisturising Rose Cream, Moisturising Rose Lotion and a Premium Face Freshener Spray. Being a natural product, the Gulabari skincare range contains Ruh Gulab (Rose oil) and a dash of Gulabari rose water for the right moisture balance & that non–oily look. Rose oil has, for long, been known for its therapeutic properties in curing dry, sensitive and aging skins. Rose oil enlivens inner beauty, helping the skin to radiate inner glow. When used over time, it is known to pacify the heat in the blood, and thus keeps imbalances in the skin from erupting.
