The Board of Directors of Perfetti Van Melle, an undisputed market leader in the confectionery market announced Sameer Suneja as Perfetti Van Melle India’s new Chief Executive Officer with immediate effect. Sameer, who is only 36 years old, is one of the youngest and more successful marketers in the country.

Sameer who passed out of IIM Bangalore in 1994 joined Perfetti as a Brand Manager in 1997 and since then has played a key role in the company’s distinguished growth In India over the years. Sameer launched Alpenliebe in India which is today the country’s single largest confectionery brand. Under his leadership, Perfetti had the distinction of being possibly the first company to have won at the ABBYS and the EFFIES for five consecutive years. Perfetti Van Melle India was declared Advertiser of the Year on TV, Radio and Internet last year and was the first company from India to have won two metals at Cannes for the widely acclaimed Happydent White commercial. Prior to joining Perfetti Van Melle, Sameer has done stints with Colgate Palmolive and Frito Lay India.
