-- Pearls Wave- Ek Leher (NGO) with the slogan Nari Shakti Ko Salam celebrated Pearls Wave gala award night at MMRDA ground on 20th February to salute and celebrate the Indian women against violence. On this day, women from all walks of life came together. They were entertained, felicitated and honored. It turned out to be an evening to empower ladies to take up the cause of 'Women Against Violence' and highlighted the efforts of brave people working together to make a safer world free from violence and abuse for women. Many bollywood celebrities joined their hands together to support the cause of 'Women against Violence'.
Neha Dhupia & Ayushmaan were the anchors of the glorious evening. The evening was started by lighting the lamp by Pearls Wave founders & directors Mr. Bhangu, Mr. Jyoti Narain and Mr. ML SehajPal. Later it was followed by splendid performances by various Bollywood and TV Small Screen Stars like Hussain, Sara, Rashmi, Mughda Godse, Minisha Lamba, HARMAN BAWEJA, Sweeny Khara, KATRINA KAIF, SAIF ALI KHAN, Comedians Paresh and Bharti. This evening also unveiled the trailer of new movie Jaane Kaha se aaye hai. Galaxy of stars (Aditi Govitrikar, Rahul Dev, Kim Sharma, Arti Chabaria, Director Anurag, Sonal, Jacqueline Fernandez, Kunal Kohli, Kashyap Koena Mitra, Gul Panag, Manjari Phadnis etc.) marked their presence in the audience.
Mr. Jyoti Narain, Founder, Pearls Wave said, "Women are the most essential pillars of our society, who from ages are shaping our society like a nurturer. The initiative PEARLS WAVE has started to provide women their social, economic and political rights. We feel its our responsibility to bring women up and give them a reputable position in the society. So, lets all of us come together to support Women against Violence and salute Women empowerment (Naari shakti ko salam)."
At Pearls Wave Award Night women from different fields (Singer Hard Kaur, Ms Bharti, Ms Sunita, Ms Rekha & Ms Mahabanu ) came and shared their stories with everyone, their achievements and their contribution to our society. They briefed how they have overcome violence and came out to speak against the suffering of women. They walked on stage holding hands of Celebs dressed up in top designer clothes and had their moments of glory in the arc lights. They came to represent women who have overcome repression and stand as symbols of hope for others across the country.
Eminent Jury consisted of Piyush Pandey (Ad man), Anjolie Ela Menon (Artist), Ashutosh Gowarikar (Director), Vir Sanghvi (Journalist), Juhi Chawla (Actress) & Javed Akhtar (Writer) selected the eminent women from across various fields for Pearls Wave Honorary Women's Awards.
