Choosing to cherish a very private lifestyle far removed from the glamour of yore, Sabita Dhanrajgir Umrigar, winner of the coveted Miss India Title 1978, and the granddaughter of the Renowned Raja Dhanrajgir of Hyderabad has established herself as one of India's finest exponents of specialized hand-embroidery.

For over 30 years her elegantly handcrafted sequined, resham and cutwork sarees have represented her Royal lineage. Having chosen to work exclusively with designers from across the globe, Sabita has adorned some of the most illustrious families in India and abroad. This is her second showing at Bangalore and the last one was a sellout in November 2011.

Her new Collection consists of chiffons and georgettes sarees with intricately hand embroidered sequins, pearls and Swarovski crystals in resham, zardosi and cutwork. An array of colours, from pastels to bolder blues, greens and purple range from the delicate to bolder and more glamorous looks. Inspired by flowers - florals and geometrics dominate this collection. Sabita's clothes are created for cocktails and weddings and will offer Bangalore a taste of elegance that has been hidden for three decades.

This is the first time that Sabita Dhanrajgir - a 'by appointment only' designer, will be available at a Fashion House. The association of Kimaya and Sabita is absolutely befitting, bringing out the best of Luxury Retailing that Kimaya has always stood for. Sabita will add new sarees every week - and each saree is one of a kind, with no other replica in the entire world.
