Fashion'ability: An inclusive fashion show for a diverse world
International Special Needs Institution from Hyderabad, India to present Social Inclusion Fashion Show
On Sunday August 10, 2008 in cooperation with the International Conference on Diverse Abilities & Innovative Supports 2008: Life, Liberty, & the Pursuit of Community, the International Special Needs Institution from Hyderabad, India will present Fashion’ability: An Inclusive Fashion Show for a Diverse World. The setting will be the beautiful Waterfront at Aloha Tower Marketplace located at 1 Aloha Tower Drive in Honolulu, Hawaii at the historic Aloha Tower marketplace.
Models from the International Special Needs Institution (ISNI) will be joined by local, national, and Indian celebrities who will be featuring this unique clothing made primarily from Indian fabrics. Also featured during the show will be jewelry designed and manufactured by the women of ISNI. The fashions and the jewelry from the show will be available for purchase following the fashion show.
The International Special Needs Institution is a social enterprise with a vision of empowering and enabling women with disabilities to live a sustainable independent high quality of life. The show aims to portray the work of women who are marginalized and differently abled with a message to the global community that even though with diverse abilities every one is Able.
The show also aims to bring global awareness about equality and social inclusion which is about giving opportunities and closing the gap. This event invites cooperation and encouragement from the fashion groups, academia, corporate and global community at large for the differently abled populace.
ISNI is extremely proud to announce their partnership with the National Institute of Rural Development (NIRD) where they have set up a production unit for their jewelry in Rural Technology Park.
