Aranyam Trust Announces The 3rd Aranyam International Film Festival on Environment and Wildlife
Bangalore, December 2nd-3rd : Award winning, highly acclaimed films on environment and wildlife will be screened at the Aranyam Film Festival, beginning here on the 2nd of December at 5.00 pm
-- Aranyam announced today the line-up of films selected from a record number of submissions for the Aranyam Film Festival on Environment and Wildlife. The premier showcase for the best new work by independent filmmakers, Aranyam Film Festival provides audiences with abundant opportunities to discover today's environment, understand the climate and discover the Wildlife. The 2009 Aranyam Film Festival runs December 2-3, in Alliance Françoise Cultural Centre - Vasanthnagar, Bangalore. The Film Festival will be inaugurated by Chairman of Polution Control Board, A.S Sadashivaiah. The complete list of films is available at www.aranyam.org
"The broad range of genre's in this year's Festival is not simply in terms of the demographics of the submissions and the issues they explore," said Aswin Nandakumar, Festival Manager, Aranyam Film Festival. "This year we are seeing serious storytelling and art that actually illustrates the World we Live in, the impact of Climate Change on Habitats and the solutions to Climate change situation and heroes, who have achieved great success in their environment conservation initiatives. Due to Time Constrain, not everything can be screened but we are optimistic to screen them at our upcoming festivals in other cities, he added"
The Festival is preparing to Travel to Thiruvananthapuram, Chennai, Bubaneshwar and Jaisalmer in the future.
