Well it is a matter of shock thatwithout the music being out in the market, it is declared hit? Everything ispossible in this world of Piracy. The songs of the film are already out on allthe major websites which endorse pirated music and the sites are being heavilybenefitted with this new addition to their portal. Some websites have clearlymentioned that due to huge response to TUM MILE’s music, they have increasedthe download links and there are enormous amount of download hits that they aregetting. Thus the Pirates version on TUM MILE’s music is a Hit Hit and Hit.
Commentingon this, the ever-vocal Mr. Bhatt has openly stated on his Twitter &Facebook accounts (Social Networking Websites) that the “Blackmarketeers” have declared the music of the film a genuine hit.The exact statement by Mr. Bhatt was, “The pirates have given their verdict. ‘TumMile’ is a blockbuster. The verdict of a blackmarketeer is more important thanthe critic.” The statementclearly shows that inspite of understanding the harsh reality of piracy in themusic industry; Mr. Bhatt also clearly knows the importance of theblack-market. In today’s cynical times the people’s enthusiasm towards aproject shows exactly how popular it is amongst the masses. The fact that TumMile’s music has already gained so much popularity shows that the audience islining up in cue to listen to the music of one of the most highly anticipatedfilms this year.
Althoughthis fact can give comfort to the films makers, yet it also points out theextreme loss in revenue. Piracy for any purpose just causes a dent in the salesof the film and will not only hamper the progress of the film but also itdisregards the work of the large number of people behind it. The Director ofthe film, Kunal Deshmukh had this to say, “One of the easiest ways to monitor piracy isby to cutting out middle-men, yet inspite of every step being taken to preventpiracy from happening it is still not in control. It is a bitter sweet feelingto see that although the films music is being appreciated yet I find itdisheartening to see that instead of the music being promoted in an appropriatemanner, it is being brought to our audience by pirates who don’t realize the amountof blood, sweat and tears that are invested in the movies making.”
‘TumMile’ has been directed by Kunal Deshmukh and is based on the backdrop of theMumbai floods. Emraan Hashmi and Soha Ali Khan are in the lead role and haveinvested a lot of hard work and effort in making there roles as authentic aspossible. The best part about the film is its hard-hitting and true-to-lifesets which have not only got the audience talking but also made industry sit upand notice. The music in the film is done by music maestro Pritam. The filmwill is releasing on 13th November, 09, Worldwide.
