Award winning documentary on toll-free call center agents finally reaches cinema halls
The National Award Winning documentary JOHN & JANE finally reaches the big screen in Mumbai and Delhi as part of NFDC's distribution program "CINEMAS OF INDIA" held in association with PVR Cinemas. A film that follows the real life stories of six young call agents that answer American 1-800 numbers in a Mumbai call center, it won an Indian National Award, a European Media Award and has been official selection at Toronto, Berlin and other major film festivals.
Tweet-- The National Award Winning documentary JOHN & JANE is finally releasing in Indian cinemas this week. After being distributed internationally by HBO Films last year it finally reaches the big screen in Mumbai and Delhi as part of NFDC's distribution program "CINEMAS OF INDIA" held in association with PVR Cinemas.
The film will be showing at PVR Juhu from June 6th onward and at PVR MGF Gurgaon the following week. This is a limited engagement only.
To those not familiar with JOHN & JANE, it's a film that follows the real life stories of six young call agents that answer American 1-800 numbers in a Mumbai call center. It won an Indian National Award and a European Media Award last year and has been screened at Toronto, Berlin and other major festivals.

About the Program
The Cinemas of India program is a distribution initiative by NFDC in association with PVR Cinemas to deliver to the multiplex audience original, compelling, award-winning works of Indian filmmakers from across the nation on diverse subjects and in diverse languages with one new release a month.
Upcoming titles include Camera D’Or winner Murali Nair’s sociopolitical horror “Arimpara or A Story that Begins at the End”, Bipin Nadkarni’s Marathi film the effect of divorce and remarriage on a young boy “A Home in the Sky”, and a new NFDC production “Bioscope”, a film about the birth of cinema in our nation.
The films will be shown at prime-time slots with English subtitles.
