Robbie Williams is planning to record a duet with Bollywood star Asha Bhonsle, the UK pop superstar will apparently feature on a new song on Bhosle's new album, "Asha And Friends", claims the writer of the track, Vijay Akela.

The UK pop superstar will apparently feature on a new song on Bhosle's new album, "Asha And Friends", claims the writer of the track, Vijay Akela.

Speaking about the projected duet, Akela explained: "Ashaji has recorded her part of the song at the Sangeet Studio.

"Robbie was keen on working with Ashaji after she was nominated for the second time for the Grammy Awards", he said.

Bhonsle has previously recorded with an array of contemporary pop figures and was immortalised on Cornershop's "Brimful Of Asha", which went to Number One after being remixed by Fatboy Slim.

Asha Bhonsle's latest album in a career spanning some six decades, "Songs From R D Burman's Bollywood", was nominated for a Grammy in 2006.
