Dishtv appoints Hutch's Arun Kumar Kapoor as CEO
Subhash Chandra promoted Direct-to-Home (DTH) service provider Dishtv has appointed Arun Kumar Kapoor as its CEO. Kapoor comes from Hutchison Essar South Ltd, where he was CEO for the Punjab Circle. Kapoor will be taking charge from November 1, 2006 and would be based out of the company's headquarters at Noida.

Kapoor’s appointment follows Sunil Khanna’s exit from the company as CEO in August this year.
Kapoor brings with him 23 years of experience in various spheres of business in the country. A management graduate from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute, Mumbai, he has been instrumental in setting up and managing operations for the Bharti Group/Spice Cell Ltd, and lately for Hutch for the Punjab circle. Besides this, he has also worked with organisations such as the UB Group, Gillette, Pepsi, Spice Cell, Airtel, and IBM Daksh.
Announcing Kapoor’s appointment, Dishtv Business Head, Jawahar Goel said, “We are glad to have Arun with us. We are confident that his leadership experience will provide great impetus to the growth plans of Dishtv.”
