Pune based Square Engg launches Sun Cubes for Indian subcontinent

The Pune-based Square Engineering Pvt Ltd, (SEPL) which had earlier declared a manufacturing license with South Australian renewable energy company, Green and Gold Energy (GGE) for advanced sun cube solar appliances is now ready to manufacture and market the Sun Cube products in the Indian Subcontinent.

Pune, Maharashtra, March 7, 2008 /India PRwire/ -- The Pune-based Square Engineering Pvt Ltd, (SEPL) which had earlier declared a manufacturing license with South Australian renewable energy company, Green and Gold Energy (GGE) for advanced sun cube solar appliances is now ready to manufacture and market the Sun Cube products in the Indian Subcontinent.

Mr. Greg Watson CEO of the Australian company GGE and Mr. Deepak Kelkar MD Square Engineering, speaking to reporters said that the products which help in lowering carbon di-oxide emissions, electricity costs and providing an alternative to conventional solar photovoltaic plants and conventional wind solar hybrid systems is now becoming extremely popular worldwide and the company is commercially Launching the products in the European and the Indian Markets.

Mr. Deepak Kelkar added that the commercial production of Sun cube which is a solar appliance, has an internal tracking system, which tracks the position of the sun and could be connected to a local grid has already started. We are producing over 1 lackh units which mean 30 megawatt installed capacity of power plant in Satara.

He added that SEPL would be dividing the domestic market into four categories, domestic rooftops for standalone individual need based plants for individual needs, agriculture pumps for lifting water from bore wells, solar farms for grid connectivity and industrial applications.

Mr. Kelkar added that the company was planning to even enter rural markets in areas where electricity is a major problem and for this we are appointing franchisees throught the country and also in Bangladesh, Srilanka, Nepal, Bhutan and Mauritius within the next financial year.
