Mr. S. K. Sinha, CEO, ETA Engg Pvt Ltd, has taken over as President of RAMA (Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Manufacturers Association) from Mr. TGS Babu, Dy MD, Blue Star Ltd with effect from 15th Jan, 08.

RAMA, is the only association of AC & R Manufacturers in India, which is actively engaged, for the over all growth of AC & R industry, in the country. RAMA works with the Industry & Govt on all key issues, like govt policy for HVAC&R industry, Technology development & Technical issues, Performance Standards, Safety & Environment related issues & Customer Focus & Trade Related issues.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. S. K. Sinha, said, “I am extremely happy and thrilled at this opportunity. It does prove to show that hardwork and efforts do not go in vain. I hope to contribute the best of my expertise to the industry & ETA and look forward to being a true ambassador for RAMA.”

A B. Tech (Mech) from IIT, Kharagpur, Mr. Sinha brings with him more than 30 years exclusive experience in AC & R Industry. Prior to ETA, Mr. Sinha has worked for Voltas Ltd, as General Manager, Operations & technology for AC & R Division.

Recently, Mr. Sinha represented the General Chair, for ASHRAE Region-at-Large Regional Conference, held in Goa, where 18 countries, from Europe, Middle East & South Asia participated. His active involvement with ASHRAE - American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (to advance the arts and sciences of heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigerating to serve humanity and promote a sustainable world), has showcased his capability and effective contribution to the group. He was President of ASHRAE Western India Chapter in 2003 and President of Kolkata Chapter of ISHRAE (Indian Society of Heating, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Engineers) along with the Regional Director – East of ISHRAE in 1993.

RAMA has been consistently striving and working towards the upgradation of products like, introduction of STAR rated (Energy Labeled) Air-Conditioners that have been well recognized and appreciated by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency & Ministry of Power.
