Jalandhar, Punjab, September 18, 2017 /India PRwire/ -- Quality Circle Forum of India (QCFI), Delhi Chapter, organized its 5th 'Convention on Quality Concept' for the Punjab, Himachal and J&K Region at Lovely Professional University, today. In this organization senior officials from top 40 industries including Hero Moto Corp, Hero Cycles, Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra & Mahindra, JCB India, Nerolac Paints, Swaraj Engines, NTPC, Gabriel India, Indian Oil, Blue Star, Motherson Group, Bharat Electronics, Sandhar Group, Auto Fit and more participated actively. Creating value to the society, detailed presentations on quality concepts were made in eight Halls of the University for the benefit of the students. Highlighting, QCFI is the only body in India to award 5 'S' Certificate, jointly with Union of Japanese Scientists & Engineers (JUSE).

LPU Chancellor Mr Ashok Mittal was the Chief Guest of the Convention, who was welcomed by Chief Operating Officer (QCFI-DC) Dr K G Sharma and his team members amid the massive assemblage at Shanti Devi Mittal Auditorium of the university. Thanking QCFI-DC leaders for reposing faith in LPU for massive organization, LPU Chancellor Mr Mittal appreciated the efforts of the forum not only in the country but 12 more nations. While inviting the forum to have their office at LPU campus, Mr Mittal also suggested the officials of the forum to commence according accreditation in the education sector for bringing out the best ones for the industry. On this occasion, Director of Hero Cycles Mr Abhishek Munjal and President of JCB India Mr YS Hooda were also present as Guests of Honour.

COO Dr K G Sharma informed: "The motive of the forum is to provide quality concepts to industry, education sector and the society." He also assured full support to LPU in forwarding such valuable concepts to the hard-working students of the university. Rating discipline, decorum and dignity at LPU in high esteems, through personal observations; Vice Chairman (QCFI-DC) Mr NP Chandoke said: "I am greatly amazed to see the huge value oriented culture being fostered among students at LPU. I want to imply that quality into products and services are determined by quality we enthuse in them. I want to alert all that societal needs are continuously changing and so are the challenges. So, adopting disruptive technologies, we will have to foster culture of regular improvements for perfect solutions."
