Agarwal and Sanjay Agarwal Directors - DRS Group, with interests in logistics, supply chain management and education sectors, is the promoter of the new format.
Edify Education which aims to provide 'international' education at an inexpensive fee would come up with more schools in the same format across India. All the campuses would be well planned with temperature controlled classrooms, and all other facilities like swimming pool, skating ring, student performance tracking software, smart boards, fully equipped library etc., which will help in the development of mind, body and soul, all these at comparatively low prices
Commenting on his new venture, Mr. A. K. Agarwal said, "There is a huge demand-supply gap for quality education at affordable prices - and Edify School is launched to tap this demand. Edify will provide top quality education _ with global orientation _ pan-India and will be in easy access to even middle class families. Edify Education which has a good understanding of the market scenario has aggressive growth plans to launch 50 branches by year 2015."
These Schools will run on the 3-C philosophy of Character, Competence and Content. The evaluation process in these schools will also be skill based and will assess the child's ability to conceptualize, process information and apply the same in a creative manner. While, the schools will follow CBSE curriculum; they will also bring in global orientation like learning by doing and participation.
Speaking during the launch, Ms Kavita, VP, Edify Education said, "Our vision is to foster a society of individuals capable of thinking progressively, creating and initiating positives change in the social, economic and cultural fabric; to impact the global community through knowledge, understanding and attitude."
