Memorable Moment For The Students Of Suryadatta Institute Of Management
Industrial Tour at London
Tweet-- The students of PGDM 2009-11 visited United Kingdom for one week as a part of the Study Tour Abroad Program. It was a memorable journey across UK through renowned industries, historical, literary and other landmark places, sight seeing and the proverbial shopping. For the students, it was remarkable experience that enhanced their sensibilities, enriched their insights and gave them the much needed exposure to global trends.
The industrial visit to Cadbury Ltd was a particularly interesting one. Established in 1847, Cadbury is a wholly owned subsidiary of Schweppes plc. It produces the finest quality confectionery, chocolate, sweets, cakes, drinks, yoghurts, ice creams and promotional material for all its products.
One look at the places visited by them and you will imagine the gamut of experiences, emotions and enrichment the students benefitted from. Stratford upon Avon- Shakespeare's birthplace, Nash's House & New Place Anne Hathaway's Cottage, Ripley's Believe It or Not, British Museum, Manchester, Madam Tussaud's, London Eye, Buckingham Palace, Manchester United Football Club, Tower of London, Palace of Westminster, St. James's Park and so on. All these places are historical and cultural landmarks and the students were excited to be acquainted with them.
The tour to UK was an eventful one and every aspect of it was as interesting and insightful as adventurous. It was a successful exercise in providing the much needed global exposure to the students in their academic domain. Apart from the scheduled industry visit and routine sight seeing, a lot was imbibed in terms of international business and cultural diversities. The tour was an experience the students will cherish for lifetime!
