"Indian Air Force" conducts selection process at Sharda University
7 students from the University selected for their fast track selection (flying branch)
Tweet-- Sharda University, one of North India's leading private university, hosted the annual selection of the Indian Air Force for their Fast track Selection program (flying branch) at their campus on 7th and 8th March 2010.
More than 700 engineering students from various engineering colleges, from Greater Noida and adjoining areas participated in the selection process of which 7 students from Sharda University were selected.
IAF, known for its stringent selection process carried out a written test followed by a group discussion to shortlist students. "Both the written test and the GD were very grilling, thanks to the rigorous training we have at our campus, which helped us get through the selection process", said an elated Ashish Agarwal, one of the 7 students who got selected from the university.
Mr. P. K. Gupta, Chancellor, Sharda University, welcomed the members of the Indian Air Force to the campus and said, "We feel honored to have been associated with the selection process. Sharda University has always been open to such programs. We feel privileged to provide our infrastructure and facilities for such processes."
Present in the selection process, the head of Air Force Team, Air Commodore P.N. Pradhan lauded the efforts put in by the university placement directorate to facilitate the selection process. He said, "The response of the students was overwhelming. University officials provide great support in our selection process. A lot of aspects like the psychological and communication skills are taken into account for selection besides the technical knowledge of the students making the selection process strict."
Atul K Sinha, Director Placement, Sharda University said, "This program by Indian Air Force provided a great boost to our students. There has been a very good response from all participating colleges and we look forward to being associated with such processes in future."
