IBMR - IBS's first Convocation Ceremony at Bangalore for its first MBA batch
Bangalore witnessed the top strata of corporate leaders in town gather together on friday 11th December on the occasion of first convocation ceremony of IBMR for their first batch of MBA and PGDM student today at Sathya Sai Samskruta Sadanam.

This was the first ever MBA batch of Institute of Business Management & Research International. Padmabhushan Prof. N.S.Ramaswamy Founder Director of IIM gave the convocation address at the ceremony. Dr. K Murugan, Managing Director, UL Management Systems Solutions India , Marcel Hungerbuchler, CEO BIAL, Dr Bob Hoekstra, Opportunity Consulting; Mr. Thimmiya A M, Sr VP - Distributed Learning of Manipal Education were the special guests invited for the ceremony.
While Prof. N.S.Ramaswamy enlightened the students with his 85 years of experience in the management field. He urged the graduates to be ethical and have moral in all aspects of life and peppered it with lots of examples and shlokas which had the students listening to his every word.
On the occassion Mr. C Mohan Director & Dean IBMR said, "The mission of IBMR is to maintain & build excellence in the youth, unleash their competencies with creative & analytical potentials in the management fields. It provides highest professional quality requisite with utmost attitudinal standards to meet the global level requirement of industries. I am happy with the students performance and wish them all the best in their future endeavours''.
At this auspicious occasion the Institute also received the ISO 9001:2008 certificate for Quality by Dr. K Murugan, Managing Director, UL Management Systems Solutions India Pvt Ltd, one of the leading certification partners in management systems. Commenting on the students and the certification he said, "I am really glad that educational institutes have now come seeking a top quality certification. We are very proud to deem this certification on IBMR as they have passed with flying colors."
With a combined experience of 140 years between the Indian and international partners they put the best practices in the industry to use effectively. Headquartered in Bangalore it provides over 70 Certifications and Assessments covering a vast majority of standards and industries. They are now in the process of tailor making a certifiation and assesment programme only for the education sector where they will not only certify but also recomend best practices that can be incoporated in the institution's curriculum as per their needs. This is a first of a kind initiative that has been taken up by DQS-UL MSS in the country.
The programm was followed by felicitating the entire chief guest which includes Dr. K Murugan, Managing Director, UL MSS, Mr. Ullas Kamath, DMD- Jyothy labs, Mr. Marcel Hungerbuchler, CEO BIAL, Mr. Simha HNLN, VP L&T and many more dignitaries. A total of 37 students passed out and were handed out their degrees at the hands of the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour Prof. N.S.Ramaswamy and Dr. K Murugan and best students were awarded for academics and extra curricular activities. The setion end with singing of national anthem.
