TASMAC enlightens audience on "CEO's Perspective - The HR Agenda."
TASMAC - School of Business keeping the constant fabrication of its Knowledge Exchange Forums has once again thought out an intellectual & interactive forum offering insights about CEO's Perspective - The HR Agenda on June 29th 2009 at Hotel Le Royce.
-- This knowledge forum integrated the most eminent leaders on the panel, Mr. Prashant P. Khambaswadkar – MD & CEO – Universal Business Solutions – Mumbai, Mr. S. Anand – Executive Director – Agility Logistics – Mumbai and Mr. Mohan V. Madgulkar – CEO – Shivalik Consultants – Pune
Coordinating the Knowledge Exchange Forum Mr.Shailesh Niyogi,Director – Corporate Affairs,TASMAC said “We are proud to be a hand behind these educative forums inspiring students & professionals and adding to their knowledge banks.” Adding further he said, “In the recent times it has been seen that there is a huge need to bridge the industry-academia gap and these forums are the perfect fillers for the same”
Present on the forum, Mr. Prashant P. Khambaswadkar – MD & CEO – Universal Business Solutions – Mumbai shared his insights on what he experienced as a CEO of the company. Decorated with ‘Maharashtra Gaurav’ for his contribution in the insurance sector. Has great energy, drive, leadership acumen, networking skills & corporate experience of 16 plus years with 3 great brands like HDFC Standard Life Insurance , Johnson & Johnson Ltd and Tata Steel (TISCO) .At the forum Mr. Khambaswadhkar enriched the students with his experiences as the 1st HR head of privatized life insurance company. He said, “If we have to see from a CEOs perspective than it all depends on the industry you are in and how much are you resourceful for the business. As a CEO we never look at what has happen but always focus on what needs to be done.”
Taking forward the discussion, Mr. S. Anand – Executive Director – Agility Logistics – Mumbai stated that a basic role for a HR is to be a partner who can create a capable organization that can work together and execute to achieve the set goals of the company. A CEO basically wants a HR department which will focus on results rather than action. Mr. S.Anand prior to Agility Logistics have been associated with reknowned companies like Godrej Hicare Limited(GHCL) and his expertise lies in areas like Finance, Sales/Marketing, HR & IT.
Mr. Mohan V. Madgulkar – CEO – Shivalik Consultants – Pune concluded that today HR is viewed as administrative specialist, employers advocate and much more. The need for today is to recognize them as business partners. In today’s time HR is needed in every functional area of an organization be it creating vision strategies and values or be it budget management. Mr. Madgulkar is a well known corporate trainer and has a number of projects to his credit.
The forum ended with a small film on CEO’s perspective – The HR Agenda which was appreciated by the corporate guests. The panelists also spared their precious time to interact with the students which was an enlightening experience for them.
