Tweet-- Five MBA students from Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai have reached final round of the DHL Logistics Business Simulation Game. Rutvij Oza, Prasanna Joshi, Rohit Menon, Adarsh Nand Bahadur and Parth Bhimani will be traveling to Germany for the final to be held at Bonn and Berlin from 11th to 14th of January 2009.
According to Rohit Menon, " He was interested in Supply Chain and Logistics even before he joined MBA, and this online logistics business simulation was the perfect platform to test his skills and learn more about managing a business." He added that " Our team interactions would go on for hours, deliberating about the various decisions to be made in each of the rounds, and it feels great to have succeeded and am looking forward to meet my team, and compete in the Final Round in January."
Parth Bhimani another contestant said, "DHL Fast Forward, an online simulation game played over months during the rigorous curriculum at Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai, made me stay up late nights, have endless conversations with my fellow team members across continents discussing various business strategies etc. It was difficult in the 1st week or so as time differences, language barriers came into play but we as a team over came it. I being a student specializing in Operations and Finance, this simulation provided me a wonderful opportunity to portray my talent and in the process gained immense knowledge, which was a very enriching experience. This simulation tested every participant's knowledge on Business Strategy, Operations, Finance and Marketing. I was totally excited, when I stood 19th Worldwide in the First Round of DHL fast forward, resulting in me winning a Logitech Web-Camera. Besides that, getting selected to go to Germany and playing the Final Round of the simulation is something, I am really looking forward too."
