Good news for students aspiring to make a winning career in RIM, IT industry’s next big billion dollar industry! An exclusive, all-encompassing course on RIM -- Remote Infrastructure Management -- has just been designed for graduate students for the first time in the country. Called NETFUSION, the 360 * RIMS learning model covers all key areas with hard and soft skills that are required to become a industry ready RIM professional. NETFUSION is a product of KarROX Technologies, India’s leading IT training company.

Conceptualized, designed and developed by industry experts, NETFUSION attempts to meet the rising demand for skilled manpower for the country’s next IT trend, RIM. The existing demand is well documented in the recent NASSCOM and McKinsey report, stating that RIM, as an independent industry, could realize a whopping USD 26-28 billion in revenues by 2013. “NETFUSION has been well structured to bridge the widening gap between skilled manpower and jobs available in RIM,” CEO of KarROX Technologies, Mr. Jitendra Nair said.

To start with, NETFUSION is currently available only at KarROX’s Mumbai and Delhi training centres. The courseware includes a two-year Intensive Online Training Program, conducted as per international standards by industry expert trainers. The 360 * learning model is mapped to International certifications with state-of-the-art RIMS labs. English language training and soft skills training are part of the learning model. The program ensures placement partnerships. For more details, please contact Karrox Technologies SMS “karrox” to 575758 or email to info@karrox.com

It is true that major IT giants in India have begun to hire RIM professionals with assured better growth and better salaries than regular networking and Tech support professionals. Recruitment of RIM professionals has increased by 50 per cent on a year-on basis in the last three years. Companies like HCL Technologies, Capgemini, Accenture, IBM, Patni, EDS, Mphasis, Microland, Wipro, Cognizant and many more are recruiting a large number of RIM professionals.

While the country’s current RIM market share stands at about USD 3.2-3.6 billion, the NASSCOM study reveals that India is well poised to capture USD 13-15 billion of the USD 96-104 billion global opportunity for RIMS (Remote Infrastructure Management Services). “RIM is poised to become a $ 26-28 billion opportunity for the Indian IT industry in another five years and RIMS alone could create 325,000 to 375,000 jobs by 2013,” the study adds.

According to Mr. Jitendra Nair CEO Karrox Technologies Ltd “A candidate who completes the RIM course is bound to get quicker benefits with exciting career opportunities as an early entrant. Students taking up the NETFUSION program are bound to get jobs as karROX has partnered with many companies to provide placement opportunities to its students. Course eligibility criteria include 10+2 with good communication skills, or graduates in any stream”.

Future of RIM industry – NASSCOM evaluation:

RIM, as an independent industry, could realize USD 26-28 billion in revenues by 2013. About 70-75% of infrastructure management roles can be outsourced, thus spelling an addressable market of $96-104 billion.

Vendors and captives in low-cost locations have captured only USD 6-7 billion of the RIM market so far. After discounting for infrastructure management spend in low-cost countries, defense and government budgets, spend in small enterprises, services that cannot be off-shored and value captured by customers, NASSCOM estimates the addressable market for RIM to be US $96 –104 billion.

The USD 524 billion infrastructure management services (IMS) industry – that manages core IT systems including hardware, software, connectivity and people – could become as important as the Application Development and Maintenance (ADM) and Business Process Off-shoring (BPO) industries that have dominated the rise of off-shoring in the last decade. The IMS industry is moving towards a remote delivery model where services are increasingly delivered by vendors and captives from low-cost locations.
