GGSIPU allows Lateral Entry in the M. Tech programme
Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) has opened an option for its B. Tech students to seek admission in the 9th semester of its B. Tech./ M. Tech. (Dual Degree) in Information Technology (IT) programme, through lateral entry.

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) has opened an option for its B. Tech students to seek admission in the 9th semester of its B. Tech./ M. Tech. (Dual Degree) in Information Technology (IT) programme, through lateral entry.
Under this provision, students who are pursuing their final year of B.Tech. programme in either Computer Science, Information Technology or Electronics & Communication Engineering, from any of the affiliated institution of GGSIPU can get direct admission in the 9th semester (fifth year) of the B. Tech./ M. Tech. (Dual Degree) programme at University School of Information Technology, leading to an M. Tech. Degree. Interested candidates need to have secured minimum 60% marks or above in their class 10th and class 12th/ diploma; and 70% or above marks in their B. Tech Examination, 2008 from GGSIPU.
Admissions to the above programme will be made on the basis of the marks obtained in the qualifying exam and an interview, to be conducted by the University. For granting admission, 75% weightage will be given to the marks obtained in the qualifying exam and 25% to the interview.
Interested candidates are required to apply in the Office of the Joint Registrar (Academic), Room No.108, Administrative Block, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University on the prescribed form alongwith necessary documents and a Bank Draft of Rs.500/- drawn in favour of Registrar, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, on or before 22nd July, 2008 (5 pm). One can even download the application form from the University website www.ipu.ac.in The merit list of successful candidates will be displayed on the website on 28th July, 2008 alongwith interview schedule.
