NMIMS Bags BMA's "Outstanding Management Institute for The Last Five Years Award (2003-2008)"

SVKM's NMIMS University of Mumbai has awarded with "Outstanding Management Institute For The Last Five Years Award (2003-2008)" by prestigious Bombay Management Association. Consisting of a Silver Salvo and Citation, the award was presented to Dr. N. M. Kondap, VC-NMIMS by Mr. Adi Godrej, Chairman- Godrej Group during BMA's Annual Awards Presentation Ceremony held on Monday, 30th June'08 at Walchand Hiranand Hall of Indian Merchant's Chamber. The ceremony was witnessed by distinguished guests from academic and corporate world.

Kondap, VC-NMIMS by Mr. Adi Godrej, Chairman- Godrej Group during BMA’s Annual Awards Presentation Ceremony held on Monday, 30th June’08 at Walchand Hiranand Hall of Indian Merchant’s Chamber. The ceremony was witnessed by distinguished guests from academic and corporate world.

BMA judges an institute on several criteria including its academic strength, research base, consultancy effectiveness, quality of students produced by it, acceptance in business and industry, endeavor for the all round development of its students through extra-curricular activities, the infrastructure facilities and its contribution to the management development programmes and management movement at large.

Considering the above criteria, BMA found SVKM’s NMIMS University as the Outstanding Management Institute for the last five years (2003-2008) for its excellence in the fields of academics and consultancy, for making a mark in the area of research and for giving a range of distinguished alumni to the Indian Corporate world.

BMA’s Outstanding Student of Management of the year Award (for 2007-08) is also bagged by a student of NMIMS University, Ms. Sneha Saraf *. Mr. Adi Godrej awarded her with a Memento, Certificate and cash prize of Rs.5000 on the basis of the marks obtained in various semesters, participation and prizes won in extra-curricular activities and the awards & distinctions achieved during her studies in NMIMS.

On the occasion, Dr. Kondap-VC, NMIMS thanked his faculty colleagues, students, alumni and the corporate world for their contribution towards the achievement. He said that this could be possible due to the constant support and guidance of Shri Amrish Patel, Chancellor-NMIMS University & President-SVKM.

*The ‘Outstanding Student of Management Of The Year Award’ was jointly presented to Ms. Sneha Saraf of SVKM’s NMIMS University and Ms. Dipti Padwal of K.J. Somaiya Institute of Mgt Studies & Research.
