Consequences of Technology on HR; Technology enhances automation of HR

Chennai, Tamil Nadu, March 24, 2008 /India PRwire/ -- Nuveda Learning Pvt. Ltd in collaboration with the department of M.A.HRM, Madras School of Social Work conducted HR Symphony 08 on 20’ March at GRT Grand. The focus of the seminar was ‘Technology as an enabler to HR’.

The key note address was delivered by Mr. Bhaskar Das, VP HR, Cognizant technology Solutions Pvt Ltd. Pondering over few essential questions on technology used in HR, Mr. Bhaskar Das said “ Technology does help the HR department in almost all areas. The impact of this is profound and there’s a growing need for matching gadgets and requirements”. Speaking on the consequences and usage of technology, he put a word of caution saying that the human touch in the HR functions should not be lost. He rightly put that the future belongs to the one who easily let the enabler to enabling and refocuses on the core of the function.

Mr. Balasubramanian Krishnan, CEO, Nuveda Learning Pvt.Ltd addressed the gathering and made a presentation on learning and technology. He stated that “We often confuse learning with technology but overlook the fact that learning can happen with technology.”

The presentation came to an end with few highlights on the fact that learning can happen when there’s an element of fun, discovery, rewards and recognition. He concluded that technology can enhance learning if used properly.
