Podar International conducts seminar supporting CIE curriculum
University of Cambridge International Examinations addresses schools in Mumbai
Tweet-- Podar International School, Mumbai, recently organized a seminar which focused on the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) curriculum. The event was held to raise awareness of the CIE curriculum and to showcase the benefits of being a CIE registered school. In view of the growing demand for international education, this seminar was extremely timely. 25 school principles participated in the seminar, saying that it provided an excellent opportunity to have a better understanding of the CIE curriculum i.e. the Cambridge International Primary Programme, the Cambridge Lower Secondary Programme, Cambridge IGCSE and International A/AS Levels, as well as the support that CIE provides its schools in terms of professional development, endorsed resources and online courses.
The seminar started with an address note by Dr. Vandana Lulla, Director Principal, Podar International School followed by a presentation on the achievements of the school and its students. Addressing the attendees, Dr. Vandana Lulla said, “Our association with University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) has been an outstanding experience. We believe in extracting the real talent out of our students through the implementation of a great education system and with CIE it has been an incredible journey to see our students growing and effectively learning from the CIE curriculum.”
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. William Bickerdike, Regional Manager, South Asia, University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) said, “At CIE we follow world class education practices. Keeping the growing demand of International education in mind, we constantly focus on the implementation of teaching and practices that are of global standard.” He further added, “Our objective is to ensure that all the students and teachers are at par with the global education system. We believe in harnessing the potential of our students in an academically stimulating environment based on a world class international curriculum.”
Addressing the attendees, Mr. Bickerdike gave an insightful presentation on the CIE curriculum. The presentation gave a detailed overview of CIE, highlighting the distinctiveness of its curriculum and emphasizing the international recognition of a globally recognized education system.
