India’s pioneering institution in Clinical Research studies, Institute of Clinical Research (India), also known as ICRI, today announced the opening of its new campus at Ahmedabad. ICRI also has campuses in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. The campus will go live this session in August 2007. Dr Shruti Shukla is the Principal of the Ahmedabad campus.

The new campus in Ahmedabad has a capacity for 150 students and is spread across 10,000 sq ft. It is centrally located opposite the Polytecnique near IIM Ahmedabad, Panjrapore. The Ahmedabad campus boasts of state-of-art infrastructure and a very high profile library with the latest journals and study material.

Dr. S. K. Gupta, Dean & Director General, Institute of Clinical Research (India) commenting on this occasion said; “We felt the need for an institute in Gujarat and hence this campus. In fact, Gujarat is fast emerging as the hub of prestigious institutes, having housed IIM, NID, NIFD and also IIT, very recently. We are proud to announce this campus in Ahmedabad. Dr Shukla, the Principal of the new campus is highly experienced and we are confident that under her able stewardship, our growth will get further momentum taking ICRI and its students to newer heights. We also hope to help deliver on the growing demand for highly skilled clinical research professionals in India.”

Principal Dr. Shruti Shukla is highly experienced and has over a decade experience in this segment. In fact, she is one of the early researchers in this field and has worked with Synchron, Reliance and Cadilla.

ICRI is India’s first and only Clinical Research institution offering an MSc. in Clinical Research and is created primarily to address the demand for qualified and trained professionals globally. Additionally, the institution boasts of a placement cell that helps students jump-start their careers. The courses offered at ICRI prepare the students for the ICR (UK) and ACRP exams also.
