At a glittering function held at Deori village in Gondia District, Hon’ble Union Civil Aviation Minister, Mr Praful Patel today felicitated three girl-students of AHA, The Air Hostess Academy, pioneers and leading providers of trained manpower to the Aviation and Hospitality services industry who are undergoing training with the AHA. The girls, Ms Priti Chandanlal Madavi, Ms Pegambari Venkat Pasteti and Ms Swati Dyanchand Mesaram are among 100 students belonging to the tribal community of Maharashtra and the economically weaker section of the society classes who are pursuing their dreams of having a successful career in the booming aviation and hospitality sector. Many other dignitaries like Shri Vijay Kumar Gawid, Adivasi vikas mantri ,Shri Anil Deshmukh , were also present at the occasion.

The 3 girls along with 97 other students are from backward areas and classes of Maharashtra and they have been sponsored by the tribal commission. AHA is the first and only institution in the aviation and hospitality industry segment that is partnering various state governments for the upliftment of the socially weaker section of the society. AHA is currently partnering governments and executing these sponsored training projects in the States of Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Chattisgarh and Karnataka.

Hon’ble Civil Aviation Minister expressing his happiness at the progress of the students encouraged them further to give it their best. The Hon’ble minister also exhorted that more and more students should focus on education in order to bring about overall development of the region.

Expressing her happiness, Ms Sapna Gupta, Director, Air Hostess Academy said, “The demand for trained human resource in the service industry is increasing at an enormous pace with the arrival of new airlines and hotels. Therefore in order to provide more employment opportunities to a large number of students across the country, we must reach as many people and places as we possibly can.”

In a similar initiative in the state of Karnataka, AHA has helped 100 students complete their course and gain meaningful employment with various prestigious organisations in the field of Aviation, Hospitality and Travel & Tourism. The purpose of this initiative is not only to train the students for employment opportunities in the growing service sector (airlines and hotels) but to also to groom them as confident individuals.

Professional training & grooming from AHA would enable several career aspirants to carve a niche for themselves in the expanding sectors of aviation, hospitality and tourism.
