Brüel & Kjær announces the acquisition of Australian company Lochard Ltd. with the intention of providing customers with world-class Environment Management Solutions
The Lochard business will be combined with Brüel & Kjær's airport and urban monitoring business to form a new EMS business unit within the Brüel & Kjær group, focused on delivering innovative Environment Management Solutions for airports and urban environments. The new global EMS business will be headquartered in Melbourne and run by the existing Lochard executive team.

EnvironmentManagement Solutions (EMS) involve monitoring and management of noise andclimate parameters in cities and airports with the purpose of reducingenvironmental impacts and to ensure compliance of national and internationalregulations.

Combining the strengths of Brüel & Kjær andLochard will provide customers with access to a full range of products,solutions and services within Environment Management Solutions, backed by anextensive technical and application support network in 55 countries. Theacquisition of Lochard will enable Brüel & Kjær to develop, market, and supportan increased product portfolio, including Lochard’s NoiseOffice suite ofmanaged noise services and innovative, web-based services.
