Raids conducted in West Bengal, Ghaziabad, Rajasthan; Spurious products worth several lakhs of rupees seized

Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, December 29, 2009 /India PRwire/ -- Moving forward on Dabur India Ltd's efforts to rein in the counterfeit products racket, manufacturing units across West Bengal, Ghaziabad and Rajasthan involved in the production of fake Dabur products and medicines were raided. The raids, conducted by local authorities, led to the seizure of spurious personal care & healthcare products and medicines.

"Dabur India has been targeting such counterfeit manufacturers across the country. The Company has mapped out the locations where these activities take place and is going after the spurious and fake products manufacturers systematically. Leads have been obtained on packaging and label suppliers as well, and Dabur India will spare no efforts to get them all behind bars," said Dabur India Ltd Group Director Mr. P D Narang.

During separate raids in district Nadia (West Bengal), spurious 'Dabur Gulabari' and 'Dabur Keora Water' were confiscated.
