Steinel Motion Sensors and Automatic Lights with Sensors for Corridors, Staircases, Aisles & Passages by Pammvi

Corridors, staircases and car parking areas have the potential to offer maximum energy savings by use of motion sensors or daylight linked dimming control solutions.

Mumbai, Maharashtra, May 13, 2010 /India PRwire/ -- Thursday, 13th May 2010, Mumbai, India : Pammvi Group of Companies, the industry leader in providing world-class energy conservation products to various commercial as well as residential projects have now introduced the Steinel Motion Sensors and Automatic Lights with Sensors for Corridors, Staircases, Aisles & Passages.

Corridors in general have lighting that can be automated using PIR or HF or Ultrasonic motion sensors. Internationally, every conceivable 4 walled structure has sensors to control the lighting based on human presence and movement. Classically speaking, corridors, staircases and car parking areas have the potential to offer maximum energy savings by use of motion sensors or daylight linked dimming control solutions.

Steinel - A world renowned supplier of Automatic Lighting using Motion Detectors and Integrated lighting fixtures with motion sensors offer a varied assortment of solutions from their stable.

The IS -345 low bay is a typical PIR actuated corridor sensor which can sense at a distance of 10 meters on either side of the corridor at a mounting height of 2.5 to 3 meters. This sensor is recommended for standard height areas in offices, hotels, factories, residential complexes etc.

The newly launched IS 345 Mx highbay which can be mounted at a height of 12 meters and can sense 15 meters on either side linearly & 4 meters width making it an ideal sensor for installation in Warehouses, Storage rooms, Sports Halls, Auditoriums, Theatres, Terminal Buildings, Machine Shops, Factory production areas.

The newly launched Presence Control Pro Dual HF uses high-frequency technology that differs from standard ultrasonic sensors. Landings in hotels, corridors in schools and office buildings etc. are typical areas that lend themselves to automatic lighting control.

In corridors, most people walk towards the sensor (radially). Because of the direction they walk in, this is where infrared sensors installed at normal ceiling height are pushed to their limits because the probability of someone crossing 2 switching zones is rare and only happens late on. Attempts can be made to improve this situation by using special lenses, but at the end of the day it's the laws of physics that count. High-frequency technology, in contrast, even prefers a radial walking direction because the signal generated is even greater.

The DUAL HF sensor is the first system to be featured in our range that uses 2 special HF-sensors to watch over both directions in a corridor from the ceiling: providing reliable detection over up to 24 m! Truly unique!

The reach can be proportionally reduced in both directions all electronically by its range adjustment potentiometer. Advanced features include control through DALI [for daylight dependent dimming & scene management], 1-10V [for daylight harnessing] & KNX [Building Management remote management]. These sensors have their own IR handheld remote control for local parameter settings.

The RS pro 500/1000/2000 is an offering with inbuilt HF sensors having low energy lamps ranging from 13W to 26W. They can operate on a master and slave format using Radio Frequency @ 868 Mhz and a unimpeded communication range of 100 m. The accessories include a LED orientation light for maintaining the basic brightness in the event there is no occupancy or human presence. An emergency module facilitates the switchover of these lamps to the DC emergency supply for providing the basic LED illumnation in case of any power outage. A remote control for convenient parameterization of the fixtures is also available. The special electronic ballasts have been specifically designed using Steinel's German Technology to suit high level of switchings.
