WAVE inaugurates its first manufacturing facility in Pune, India

WAVE (Worthington Armstrong Venture), a joint venture between Armstrong World Industries Inc. and Worthington Industries Inc. a leading manufacturer of suspended ceiling grid, today announced the opening of their first manufacturing facility in Pune, India. With presence in 5 countries with 7 manufacturing facilities, the new facility underpins WAVE's commitment to developing its operations in India business.

The state of the art facility has been set up with an investment more than INR. 30 Crores and is spread across 5 acres near Talegoan MIDC. The India centre consists of 3 manufacturing lines which will manufacture a wide range of 'Heavy duty' and 'Medium duty' Ceiling Suspension Systems in GI Steel, Aluminum and Stainless Steel. The plant will also offer a full range of perimeter solutions like - range of extruded 'Axiom' and 'Bandraster' transitions in near future. The Ceiling Suspension Systems are used in commercial office space, banks, retail industry, hotels, airports, metro rails and educational institutes

India, being its second manufacturing facility in Asia, the company's expanded capacity centre will initially cater to the Indian market and will be a supply base for Asia Pacific, Middle East and African markets in the future.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. John Lamprinakos, President and CEO, WAVE said "We are happy to announce the launch of our first manufacturing facility in India.
