ESET Secures Record 12th "Advanced+" Award in Proactive test from AV-Comparatives
Runner-Up Has Six Award in Proactive test from AV-Comparatives
Tweet-- ESET, the leader in proactive threat protection, has secured its 12th "Advanced+" rating in proactive/retrospective testing from AV-Comparatives, an independent research organization. The latest test measured proactive on-demand detection capabilities of 16 antivirus products. ESET's closest competitor has six (6) Advanced+ awards.
AV-Comparatives provides a three-level ranking system of Standard, Advanced and Advanced+ award. To receive an "Advanced+" rating, a product must be rated with not only an excellent proactive detection rate, but also a low false positive rate.
The retrospective test is performed using passive scanning and demonstrates the ability of the products under test to detect new malware proactively, without being executed.
