Progress Software Corporation (NASDAQ), a global supplier of application infrastructure software used to develop, deploy, integrate and manage business applications in conjuncture with Hyderabad Software Exporters Association (HYSEA) is organizing the Hyderabad leg of the Eclipse foundation’s world-wide series of Eclipse DemoCamps to celebrate the Eclipse Ganymede version 3.4 releases, tomorrow.

The DemoCamp is an opportunity to showcase interesting technology being built by the Eclipse community and also to meet Eclipse enthusiasts of Hyderabad enabling networking of the developer’s community. Eclipse is releasing its latest version, 3.4 which is code-named Ganymede. In this new version, Eclipse continues to build on its strengths and provides a richer user experience. There are several notable enhancements that are part of the Ganymede release such as changes made to the underlying UI toolkits, help systems and several Java development features. Eclipse plug-in developers will see several improvements in the plug-in development environment (PDE). Several new security related features such as digital signatures have been introduced to ensure that the Eclipse environment is safe.

The new features of Eclipse Ganymede Version 3.4 release will be highlighted in addition to a few case studies of some interesting use-cases for Eclipse.

DemoCamp is an informal format where Eclipse enthusiasts meet and demonstrate the work they are doing with Eclipse. The demonstrations could include research projects, Eclipse open source projects, applications based on Eclipse, or commercial products using Eclipse.
