Bond with the Best: BITS Pilani Rajasthan and Dell Bangalore

Right from 1979, BITS Pilani has been addressing the Human Resource Development issue of various industries by launching an array of work integrated learning programmes to synergize the workplace requirements of the industry with the learning requirements of the university.

Pilani, Rajasthan, December 10, 2007 /India PRwire/ -- The task of a university is the creation of future and BITS Pilani by joining hands with corporate giants like Dell for the unique work integrated learning programmes has created an entirely new educational philosophy.

BITS Pilani and Dell Bangalore joined hands in 2005 to launch the 2 year MS Software Engineering degree program. On 07 December 2007 the graduation ceremony of the first batch of this collaborative program took place at the Kormangala Bangalore campus of Dell International Services.

The dignitaries who attended the function from Dell included not only Ganesh Lakshminarayan Managing Director, Chandra Venkatesan, Vijay Bharadwaj, Vrinda Mandappa, Hemavathi Byrappa but also several Project heads. Proud to be a BITSian Ms Usha Subramanian (presently with Mphasis EDS) who had taught the candidates also addressed the function. Several candidates who underwent the program spoke on the occasion and recollected their experiences. BITS Faculty Sanjay Singh who had coordinated the program and addressed the function received well deserved applause from one and all.

The employees from Dell Bangalore who successfully completed the program received their final degree certificates from Prof BR Natarajan Dean Work Integrated Learning Programmes, BITS Pilani who in his speech said that when two leaders like BITS Pilani and Dell who know the way, go the way and show the way get together, there are no dreams too large, no innovation unimaginable and no frontiers beyond reach.

When two organizations both driven by passion for innovation and excellence get together, as Michael Dell said there is always an opportunity to make a difference and its for sure that this collaboration has indeed made a difference.
