AMD Technology to Power Viswanathan Anand
AMD gifts quad-core Phenom processor powered gaming computer to help Vishy work hard and play hard
Tweet-- AMD today honoured the world’s best chess player, Grand Master Viswanathan Anand by gifting him a top-of the line gaming computer, powered by the best of breed quad-core Phenom processor, and the 1 tera flop ATi Radeon 4870x2 graphics card.
Anand relies on fast and multiprocessing technology to stay on top of developments in the chess world, and practice for chess championships across the world. AMD is using this as an opportunity to congratulate Anand on retaining his world championship title.
The computer is powered by AMDs top-of-the-line quad-core Phenom processor and the one teraflop ATI Radeon 4870 x2 graphics card in a futuristic looking Asus chassis with specifications to match the champion’s achievements.
Anand signed-up with AMD to be their brand ambassador in April 2008 with the charter to build familiarity among computer buyers by guiding them to take well informed decisions, after evaluating all options. Anand is seen as a master-planner and relies on the power of taking evaluated decisions. AMD had launched a multi-media campaign with Anand in June 2008, and has resulted in bringing higher awareness and familiarity for AMD in India.
AMD signed on Vishy as its brand ambassador in India earlier this year and launched an aggressive marketing campaign to increase awareness on AMD’s products and technologies and to encourage customers to take informed decisions.
